The Story Behind the Name

Panside Heating and Air was founded in Panama City by Lee Quick, a Panhandle native who built the company on one standard: give honest answers and do the work right. The name is a play on the Panhandle. If you are anywhere on the Pan Side, we have you covered.

Panside started with a storm. A hurricane tore through Lee’s own home and destroyed the ductwork, and paying someone to rebuild it was not in the budget. So he rebuilt it himself. The work came naturally, and it made sense why. Lee had spent about 25 years across the trades before that day, building houses and high-rises, wiring electrical, running plumbing, and handling remodels. In his words, HVAC is the culmination of every trade he has ever done in one shell.

That repair turned into a trade, and the trade turned into a company. Eight years into HVAC, Lee is still hands-on for about 90 percent of our calls. He is a family man with a wife and two kids, born and raised here, and his name rides on every job. That is why we will not tell you it is broken if it is not, and we will not sell you what you do not need.

On the Emerald Coast, an HVAC system earns its keep. Hurricane season runs half the year and the salt air never clocks out, it chews on outdoor equipment whether your unit is working hard or sitting still. We build and service systems to take that beating and keep running longer than they’ve got any right to.
