Duct Installation and Repair in Panama City, FL
The Part of Your System Nobody Sees, Doing Half the Work
Your ductwork is hidden in the attic and walls, so it’s easy to forget, but leaky or damaged ducts waste the cooling you already pay for and leave rooms uncomfortable. Ductwork is where Panside started: Lee rebuilt his own storm-damaged ducts and found his trade. Today we handle duct installation, repair, and replacement across Panama City, Bay County, and Walton County. You talk to the technician who does the work.
Good Ductwork Is Where Comfort Starts
You can have a perfect, brand-new AC and still be uncomfortable if the ductwork is bad. Ducts carry the conditioned air from your system to every room, and when they leak, sag, or are poorly designed, that expensive cool air escapes into your attic instead of your living room. Bad ducts waste the cooling you already pay for and leave certain rooms weak on airflow no matter how hard the system runs.
Panside is owned and operated by Lee Quick, who is hands-on for most calls, and ductwork is his roots. He got into HVAC by rebuilding the storm-damaged ductwork in his own home and discovering he was good at it. As a ductwork services company, we bring that hands-on trade skill to every duct job, and when you call, you talk to the technician, not a call center.
We handle duct installation, repair, and replacement for residential and light commercial spaces across Panama City, Panama City Beach, Lynn Haven, Callaway, 30A, and the wider Bay County and Walton County area of the Florida Panhandle. Lee’s roughly 25 years across the trades mean we take on the harder duct jobs other companies pass on, like reworking a rotted platform or modifying a wall. We work on all brands, all makes, and all models.

Signs Your Ductwork Needs Attention
If certain rooms with weak airflow never get enough air while others are fine, the ductwork is a likely cause. Leaks, disconnected sections, crushed flex duct, or a poor design can starve rooms at the end of a run. Fixing the ducts often solves comfort problems that no thermostat setting can.
Leaky ducts dump conditioned air into your attic or crawlspace, so you pay to cool space you don’t live in. If your bills are high and rooms still aren’t comfortable, duct leakage is a common and fixable reason. Sealing or replacing bad ducts puts that lost air back where it belongs.
The Panhandle knows storms, and hurricane damaged ductwork is something we take seriously, since it’s literally how Panside began. Wind, water intrusion, and shifting can tear, crush, or disconnect ducts. After a storm, damaged ductwork should be inspected before you rely on the system again.
Rodents and pests get into attics and can chew through or nest in ductwork, causing leaks and air-quality problems. Rodent damage in ducts is more common than people think. If you’ve had pests in the attic, it’s worth checking the ducts for damage they may have left behind.
Ductwork doesn’t last forever. Old ducts sag, come apart at the seams, lose their insulation, or fill with dust and debris. If your system is decades old and has never had the ducts looked at, deteriorating ductwork may be quietly dragging down your comfort and efficiency.
Ductwork Services We Handle
New Duct Installation
For a new system, an addition, or new construction ductwork, we design and install ducts sized and routed correctly for the space. A system only performs as well as the ducts behind it, so we get the design right, whether it’s a whole home or a single added room.
Duct Repair and Sealing
Not every duct problem needs a full replacement. Leaky duct repair and duct sealing close the gaps, reconnect loose sections, and stop conditioned air from escaping. It’s often the most cost-effective way to recover lost airflow and efficiency without replacing the whole system of ducts.
Duct Replacement
When ductwork is too damaged, deteriorated, or poorly designed to save, replacement is the right call. As a ductwork replacement company, we remove the old ducts and install a properly designed system, including flex duct installation where it fits, so every room finally gets the airflow it should.
Storm and Pest Damage Repair
We repair and replace hurricane damaged ductwork and ducts chewed up by rodents or pests. This is trade work Lee has done since the beginning, restoring the ductwork so your system runs clean, sealed, and efficient again after the damage is dealt with at the source.
Why Ductwork Is Worth Getting Right
Stop Paying to Cool Your Attic
Leaky ducts are one of the biggest hidden energy wasters in a home. Per ENERGY STAR, in a typical house about 20 to 30 percent of the air moving through the duct system is lost to leaks, holes, and poorly connected ducts. Sealing or replacing bad ducts puts that air, and that money, back into your home.
Even Airflow to Every Room
Properly designed and sealed ductwork delivers air evenly, so the rooms that used to be weak on airflow finally get their share. A lot of comfort complaints that get blamed on the AC are really duct problems, and fixing the ducts is what actually solves them.
Cleaner Air Through Clean Ducts
Ducts full of dust, or damaged by pests, push that debris through your whole house. Sealed, sound ductwork keeps out the attic dust, moisture, and contaminants that hurt air quality, which matters even more in our humid, mold-prone coastal climate.
Real Ductwork Skill, Not a Shortcut
Ductwork is hands-on trade work, and it’s where Lee’s experience runs deepest. We do the harder jobs right, the platform rebuilds, the wall modifications, the storm repairs, that other companies quote high or walk away from. Ductwork done well is the difference between a system that performs and one that struggles.
What a Ductwork Job Includes
We start by inspecting the ductwork to find what’s actually wrong: leaks, disconnected or crushed sections, poor design, storm or pest damage, or deterioration. We explain what we find in plain terms and recommend the right fix, whether that’s sealing and repair or full replacement, with a clear price before any work. For new installs, we design the duct layout sized and routed correctly for your home or addition.
Lee’s trade background means we handle the tough parts of a duct job, from reworking platforms to modifying walls, as part of doing it right. We work on all brands, all makes, and all models, and our work is backed by our 1-year labor warranty. We treat your home like our own and leave the work area cleaner than we found it.
Ductwork pairs naturally with a new system, zoning, or air-quality work, and we can bundle it. Ask about our current offers when you call and we’ll fold in what fits.

Ductwork Questions
How do I know if my ducts are leaking?
Common signs are rooms with weak airflow, higher energy bills, uneven temperatures, and lots of dust. You often can’t see the leaks because ducts are hidden in the attic and walls. We inspect the ductwork to find leaks and damage, then tell you honestly whether sealing or replacement is the right fix.
Should I repair or replace my ductwork?
It depends on the condition. Leaky duct repair and duct sealing are often enough for ducts that are basically sound but leaking. If the ducts are badly deteriorated, poorly designed, or heavily damaged, replacement is the better long-term call. We assess yours and give you the honest recommendation.
Do you handle hurricane or storm-damaged ductwork?
Yes, and it’s close to home for us, since rebuilding storm-damaged ductwork is how Panside started. After a storm we inspect for tears, crushing, disconnection, and water intrusion, and repair or replace the hurricane damaged ductwork so your system runs sealed and efficient again.
Is duct testing required in Florida?
Florida’s energy code requires duct-leakage testing on certain new installations and replacements as part of the permit process. The exact requirements depend on the job and local code, so we handle the permitting properly and make sure your installation meets the standard rather than cutting corners. We’ll explain what applies to your project.
Can bad ducts really raise my energy bill?
Yes, significantly. When a large share of your conditioned air leaks out of the ducts before reaching your rooms, your system runs longer and harder to compensate, which shows up on your bill. Sealing or replacing leaky ductwork is one of the more effective ways to cut that waste.
